Tamale. Ghana, that is.

Well, we’ve arrived in Tamale—Northern Ghana and that’s a good thing. Not that we don’t like Accra; it’s just that our time there was kinda funky due to colds, jet lag and sleep deprivation, not to mention MAJOR spiritual warfare.

The invisible battle between good and evil is, of course, something that is a reality wherever you are (whether we acknowledge it or not is an entirely different matter.) But if you talk to anyone who has spent time in Africa, you will hear stories about how very apparent the war is here. The intensity and reality of the struggle between invisible principalities and powers cannot be denied. All the way from the time that this trip became a possibility, we have experienced proactive attempts to derail us. We have even many times questioned whether it is God that was trying to tell us something, or whether it was Satan. But when you look at the ‘symptoms’ of the struggle—discouragement, fear, anxiety, and many other things, all negative, there can be no doubt that this is not the handiwork of God.

We have spent many sleepless nights, praying for God’s guidance and protection and wisdom as we continue on this journey.

On a more positive note, it is very good to be in Tamale, together with Johnson Asare, seeing the incredible work that He is doing here. In the spirit of Christ, he is very strategically working to show compassion in action to his Muslim neighbors, without fear, even for his own life.

More on this later…gotta run for the day. Please pray for us.

"But when you look at the ‘symptoms’ of the struggle—discouragement, fear, anxiety, and many other things, all negative, there can be no doubt that this is not the handiwork of God."--That spoke to my heart this morning, friends, thank you. You're in my prayers every day.

Audy DOES look so grown up! A little girl, and no longer a baby. Glad you are all well.
