Slowly but surely

We have tons of pictures to share, but they still aren't uploading properly, so here are just a few...

Believe it or not, this muddy water is the only option many people now have, since floods devastated the region several months ago.

This woman and her smile are gorgeous, but the scene is not as idyllic as it may appear. This baby, which appeared to me to be about 5 months old is actually 2 years. Malnutrition and disease are the reason.

Peanut rings made by rural villagers...

Gail samples...mmmm, tastes very much like a peanut butter cookie, only not sweet...and very spicy!

Visiting the Ostrich Project

Don't mess with an ostrich when it comes to food.

A visit to a local public school

Lydia takes Gail's measurements for a few dresses she's having made

How much we take for granted each and every day. I imagine having a healthy child, and then seeing other not-so-healthy children, reinforces our blessedness.
