Life as we now know it.

Dear sister Kelly suggested we consider keeping a blog...not sure if anyone is interested in reading our musings but we shall see...

14 days before our first wedding anniversary...so much has happened this past year, it makes our heads spin. September 17, 2005 was an incredible day--never to be forgotten. Our wedding was everything we could have hoped for, followed by an amazing 3-week honeymoon to 'leaf peep' in New England--also the best trip we've ever been on. (Subject for another posting.)

Fast forward 2 1/2 months--primo December. To our great surprise, we discover that a new life is on the way: our baby Audrey. Since then, time has passed quickly with work (Amani Global and Power of One Trading Co.), planning for baby, moving and pondering the major life change that would surely come with the birth of a child.

August 9, 2006: Almost two weeks overdue, Audrey Faith Morris is born 8 pounds 7 ounces, 21 inches. We have never seen a sweeter little creature. She instantly captured our hearts. At the same time, "having a baby is like getting the world's worst roommate", as Anne Lamot has said. The past 3 weeks and 4 days have been a veritable rollercoaster of emotions with little sleep. What an amazing gift--and awesome responsibility.
